Here are two of the Tehillim / Psalms that we recommend you to say along with our 40 day prayers.

Tehillim / Psalm 20

The second verse of this chapter beseeches G-d [Hashem] to answer your prayers in times of trouble. This chapter is appropriate to be said in times of trouble and distress. The main theme of the chapter is focused on G-d sending us salvation.

1 For the Leader. A Psalm of David.
ב יַעַנְךָ יְהוָה, בְּיוֹם צָרָה; יְשַׂגֶּבְךָ, שֵׁם אֱלֹהֵי יַעֲקֹב 2 The LORD will answer you on the day of trouble; the name of the God of Jacob set you up on high;
ג יִשְׁלַח-עֶזְרְךָ מִקֹּדֶשׁ; וּמִצִּיּוֹן, יִסְעָדֶךָּ 3 Send your help from the sanctuary, and support you out of Zion;
4 Recall of all your meal-offerings, and accept the fat of your burnt-sacrifice; Selah
5 He shall grant you according to your heart, and fulfil all your counsel.
ו
נְרַנְּנָה, בִּישׁוּעָתֶךָ– וּבְשֵׁם-אֱלֹהֵינוּ נִדְגֹּל;
6 We will shout for joy in your victory, and in the name of our God we will set up our standards; the LORD fulfil all your petitions.
7 Now know I that the LORD saves His anointed; He will answer him from His holy heaven with the mighty acts of His saving right hand.
ח אֵלֶּה בָרֶכֶב, וְאֵלֶּה בַסּוּסִים;
8 Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; but we will recall of the name of the LORD our God.
9 They are bowed down and fallen; but we are upright, and standing.
10 Save, LORD; let the King answer us on the day that we call.

Tehillim / Psalm 32

In the hebrew of the sixth verse, a connection is made between the words ‘a time to be found’ and finding one’s spouse. This chapter is recommended for those seeking marriage.

א
1 [A Psalm] of David. Maschil. Happy is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is pardoned.
ב
2 Happy is the man in whom the LORD does not consider iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no trickery.
ג
3 When I kept silence, my bones wore away through my groaning all the day long.
ד
4 For day and night Your hand was heavy upon me; my sap was turned as in the droughts of summer. Selah
ה
אָמַרְתִּי, אוֹדֶה עֲלֵי פְשָׁעַי לַיהוָה;
5 I acknowledged my sin to You, and my iniquity have I not hid; I said: ‘I will make confession concerning my transgressions to the LORD’– and You, You forgave the iniquity of my sin. Selah
ו
6 For this let every one that is saintly pray to You in a time when You may be found; surely, when the great waters overflow, they will not reach him.
ז
7 You are my hiding-place; You will preserve me from difficulty; with songs of deliverance You will surround me. Selah
ח
8 ‘I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go; I will give counsel, My eye is on you.’
ט
9 Do not be like a horse, or like a mule, which have no understanding; whose mouth must be held in with bit and bridle, that they will not come near you.
י
10 Many are the sorrows of the wicked; but he that trusts in the LORD, mercy surrounds him.
11 Be glad in the LORD, and rejoice, O righteous; and shout for joy, all that are straight-hearted.
